The Lady Mustangs defeated Lewis County in the third set 25-8 and won the match three sets to none, improving to 13-1 overall and staying undefeated (5-0) in district play.

Nick Quillen was impressed with the dominant win and how his team performed against the Lady Panthers.

“I’m happy with how they played,” Quillen said. “They hounded in quickly and were able to focus on the things they were supposed to do and real scrappy with the ball,” Quillen said.

The Lady Mustangs will be back in action tomorrow morning to play in the Creek Wood Tournament (Charolette, TN) and are looking forward to the challenge ahead.

“I think we are ready. The biggest thing this week is it has been a lighter week for us and not as much of a push in the weeks before,” Quillen said. “We just got to be ready for Saturday and it might not be a cake walk, and we are going to have to wake up get going and go to work,” Quillen said.

Loretto’s first game will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday against another familiar team in Creek Wood looking to run the gauntlet and take home the gold.
